Pet pooch, work in progress

I have gone with a white background for a change but am undecided at the moment.
It's not finished anyway so anything could happen and probably will !

100 portraits number 1, Firefighter Huddlestone

I have set myself a challenge to do a hundred portraits of people with a story of rescue , life saving , Good Samaritan etc etc.

I don't know how long this will take and I don't know if I know a hundred such people, think I can bring to mind about thirty but who knows what will happen after that.

Anyway the first one is of a firefighter who I'm sure could bring many such stories to mind but as he is a modest type I had to do a little research to get the story, well kind of !

A youth had dropped a cigarette lighter onto his bedroom floor which then set alight so along came the fire service and with some assistance from colleagues Firefighter H entered the bedroom and got him out.

The message after the rescue was to make sure you have a working fire alarm.

This is a work in progress though , not finished.

Now framed

From three posts back, tree now framed up

Poppy field

I have been asked to do a large painting of a poppy laden field which isn't something I've ever done before but after a few pints on a stag night I told anyone that was listening that I'd be able to do one. Oh dear !

In fact as we sat in a restaurant looking up at a very large poppy painting on the wall I foolishly said, "yeah I could do that, easy" oh dear oh dear

So in readiness and reactive I tried a small one , 10x8" and I'm reasonably happy with it for a first effort.

Learnt a lot and got some help at the club I go to.

Any comments welcome.

Another Tim Gagnon appreciation painting

Another Tim Gagnon appreciation painting
This is another copy from the wonderful Tim Gagnon. I feel better about the sky on this one,the other being a bit psychedelic with the greenish tinge. I do like the other still, just feel this is more of a realistic representation of the Gagnon style. Still a lot to learn but loving it.

This looks like the post I have just posted and in effect it is other than having just tweeked the painting a bit.
