The green garden door.

The gate , door at the top of the street near my house , the wall extends either side for some distance both ways.

I have never seen it open in 20yrs.

T'Gramps Departs

Hopefully most of the UK and France knows that Le Tour D'France commences in Yorkshire this year , and what a spectacle it will be. 

Well , Grandad here isn't that T'impressed as he's been riding streets a Yorkshire all is life, up hill and down dale. 

He's seen it all and nowt fazes him.

Shadow games

Another one of my shadow chasing type paintings. 

I have discovered that I seem to I paint best at night when everyone is in and asleep. 

I did this at midnight ! 

I think he can claim he has caught this one.

Commission impossible

Love the title of this post , good eh ! Bet I use that again.

This was no cruise though, oh it gets worse ! 

I was asked to paint these two Lhasa Apso's but using the colouring of the photo on the left but the pose on the right. Clearly there is some time between the two photos as the photo on the left shows the dog on the right as just a puppy. (In my opinion) 

In the photo on the right they look to have just had a haircut plus the younger one seems bored by the whole thing and is yawning. I didn't think that would make a good painting so closed the mouth. 

Lot of fun though , and now I'm just waiting to see if the owner likes it before I put a background in.

You have seen these before but I put them in some cheap simple frames to see what they look like.

An oil landscape

Branching out a bit , moving away from my usual figurative and portrait stuff to try my hand at something different. Maybe I'll laugh at this in a few years but right now I like it. Maybe put a bit of distance below the hills , yeah that's it.

Watching the wave

Found this photo reference whilst surfing the net. No pun intended ! 

Went for a loose effect , think it needs more more shadow on the wave , erm I dunno !
