This is a piece after Jeremy Mann titled " The Melancholy Passerine".
Only just discovered Mr Manns work and it's great.

This isn't finished, well it might be I'm not sure , yeah, no , I dont know !

No it's not and I hate how the camera distorts it. I have lots to do on this but loving it so far.

The more I see of this guy the more I like him and hearing that he co-wrote "Ordinary People" (or did he ?) which is a song I knew but never really listened to made me like him even more. Thats a great song with some fine lyrics.

I took this along to the art club I go to at Monk Fryston and got some great advice from one of the members, (thanks Barbara) and so I got stuck in and changed a few things and she's coming on.

Few more tweaks here and there and hopefully I won't mess it up too much.

I have gone back to my comfort blanket here, another painting inspired by Carol Marine.
She may have moved on but I haven't. (see her blog)

Still, it's all practice and thats all im doing with the paints for now.

Pet Pooch Milly

This is not finished but is coming along. I am happy that it is a decent enough painting but not sure yet about the likeness , think I got to straighten her mouth out , add some more colour , ears obviously need finishing and her left eye needs some work.

Would love to have some comments bad and good or otherwise

Two caricatures

I did these for a friend at work whois getting married.
These are his best men , one being his brother who is a drummer wannabe popstar who works at a famous dept store. The other is a student loan adviser who loves basketball.

I figure you will work which is which.

These are two quickish (15min) portraits done in Charcoal
