Jimi Hendrix Pencil
Striving to find my own style and this is probably getting close.
Probably the greatest Electric guitarist that ever lived, alas much before my time , well kind of !
This is not finished, its up there on the easel waiting for me to mess it up.
Adjusted the back of his head and darkened up the whole picture , started work on his clothing and worked on his neck. Needs a few more hours yet.

David Jon Kassan
I am constantly scouring the internet learning tips and techniques from artists and this man is simply amazing.
I look for inspiration to the net when I'm stuck on a project or commission and I am struggling with one that has three dogs in it. I went back to what I know best for some ego massaging , a comforter if you like and came across Mr Kassan's work while looking for pencil artists. (he does other mediums too)
One of my favourites of his (that I cannot show for copyright reasons) is a full face black woman that featured on the cover of an American magazine in 2009.
This is my version of it so far ....

Charlie
This is another commission which vexed me for a while but I was inspired one afternoon watching Arnold Lowery on TV. He is a fabulous pastel artist and the day I watched he was doing a barge scene but he ended the show with such enthusiasm saying, "have a go, get your pastels out" or something like that.
So I did and managed to do a few pastels of which this is one.
The photo that I worked from shows Charlie playing on the beach so her coat is wet.
Anyway the customer loved it, but think I have a few tweaks on it yet.
