I decided to change that colourful background for a more simpler tonal effect that I thnk brings the portrait itself forward.

Educating Yorkshire

Anyone north of the Watford gap will surely know of the programme, I say that because I didn't see the forerunner to this , "Educating Essex" which I'm told was as good as the northern version. 

Who can forget the last programme and the heartfelt speech by Musharaf who overcame his stutter to reduce his fellow pupils and teachers to tears and no doubt a vast majority of the viewers. 

The head of the school Mr Mitchell seemed to be in a constant battle with his teachers, pupils and conscience and did remarkably well in all aspects and is now a sex symbol in his own right. Or so it says in t'papers and on t'net. 

Enjoy ! ....this work in progress , I'll never know when something's finished ! 

Certainly got a background to add.....watch this space.

Mothers little helper , oil painting

I liked this so much that I've done it again as an oil painting.

Right now I think it needs either highlights on the girls face or the cup dimming down a bit, to bring some unity to it as a whole. I'm beginning to sound like an arteeeest !
