Posespace model charcoal

I did this whilst at my local Art club.  Nice little warm up sketch.

Nearly done, lady with cloak.

Again my thanks to Hong Ly and his website character design for the photo model reference.

It isn't finished but it's getting there

Mick Jagger

Got a bit more to do on this , tighten things up I think or might just leave it loose, not sure ?

Either way I enjoyed doing it. I've been playing with oils but this is acrylic which I find much easier to use whilst I learn more about oils.

Woman of strength, power

I have finally finished this and is now available on my DPW site to the right, along with some meaning behind the chinese writing ?

The Penny Floater

When I was a kid the only football the local shop sold and the only one we could afford was what we affectionately called the penny floater. This was a cheap thin oversized football that a good strong wind would play havoc with. They came in two colours white or red. If you were really posh you could just the one with the proper football markings. You also had to keep out of the way of anyone smoking as a wayward cigarette would see you holding a flat piece of plastic that once resembled a football. As did the smallest thorn. Ah those were the days !

This is an oil painting measuring 12x10 " and is for sale on the Daily  Paintworks site to the right of this post.

Reach for the sky

I've done other versions of this but fancied a slightly different version.

Run to the sun

I did a larger version of this entitled , "shadow chasing me" about 12 posts back.

A lady in the USA asked if it was going to be for sale on my DPW site but as the larger one is a bit big and I'm putting it into the Monk Fryston Exhibition on the 4th 5th Oct I thought I'd do another smaller one.

This one measures 10" x 7" and is on acrylic pad paper, much easier to post if it sells of course.

I also think this is  a better title.

Woman of strength

Done almost ! I think ?

If I have done this right the Chinese writing says , strong woman

No title as yet, suggestions !

This is a sketch for a painting I'm doing.cant think of a title though, any suggestions.

This is a family friendly blog ! Despite the nude archer, she wasn't that nude !

And this is the painting so far........

Got some work to do the hands as well as lots of other stuff but those hands ! ! Aaarrggghhh !

Just a few more tweaks , then ill tackle those hands , ha !

Future Olympian

This kid is either late for his tea or he likes to run.

Might still need a bit of work though ?
