Horse Grazing

Horse  Grazing 90 mins pastel 12x8
I have done this from a book, "Pastels for beginners" published by Koneman.

Looking at it now the front right leg is pushed back too far but i'm happy with the pastel blending of it.

comments welcome

Horse sketch

Just had a little holiday and drew this horse whilst lounging on a sunbed in 30c, a far cry from the 9c temp I have come back to.

It was on the cover of a book I was reading, not just wandering passed the beach.

However this man was away with the fairies in dreamland.
His family caught me drawing him and had a giggle.
He gave me the thumbs up when he finally woke up.

Two Old Timers

This is from a photo in a book about Yorkshire dales folk and the chap in the picture is Jonty Wilson who was a blacksmith in Lunesdale.
It is a black and white photo but I went for a sepia type look to it.

Would love some comments, good bad or ugly.

Horse Rider after Simon Lavigne

I saw this in the June / July 2011 edition of International Artist in an article about painter Simon Lavigne. The horse is part of a larger painting titled , "On The Way Home" and was shown as a detail in the article.
I thought it looked good on its own so have pTinted it here in acrylics.
It measures 12"x10"

Horse

Can't remember where I found this on the net but I copied it from a drawing I found. I was messing about with a charcoal stick and liked the way it came out.
